Hello, I am so thrilled that you landed here to get to know me a little better.
I find the ability to grow and nourish a baby absolutely fascinating. I am dedicated to helping women and their partners understand the changes that occur, anticipate the decisions that have to be made, and adjust during this very special time of welcoming a newborn.
Here’s a few facts about me: I am a North Carolina native, wife, and mother of 4 wonderfully, amazing children. I am avid reader of actual books. You can catch me with a book nearby any time of any day. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2011 at East Carolina University earning a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Go Pirates! In 2014, I returned to my alma mater to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Education. I also completed a Master in Business Administration from Wake Forest University in 2019. I went further to pursue International Board Certification in Lactation (IBCLC) and Lamaze certification in childbirth because I wanted to get really informed about childbirth and breastfeeding to help more families.
My work experience includes providing care for women and their families in a variety of settings which include inpatient (in the hospital) as a newborn nursery and mother-baby nurse as well as outpatient (in the community) providing home visits for high risk pregnant women and their newborns.
I have a well-rounded educational background along with clinical experience and personal testimony to help provide families with the expert support they deserve. I chose private practice so that I can spend time tailoring my care to meet the specific needs of each woman that I serve.
I would love to get to know you in return. Are you a parent-to-be? Are you an experienced parent that has breastfed before but did not make it as far as you hoped? How can I help you achieve your goals of caring for your family? Get in touch with me so we can make your goals happen!
