If you are planning to get pregnant, are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to breastfeed Nurturing Generations is right for you. I work with first time moms as well as experienced moms because every pregnancy and breastfeeding experience is different and each time you can use support.

An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®) is a healthcare professional who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding. An IBCLC is certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® (IBLCE®), independently accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE).

No. Lactation is a specialty. Nurses, doctors, and all other clinicians must do additional education and training in order to take the certification exam for lactation. In order to be  recognized as an expert in human lactation and breastfeeding counseling, an individual must pass the exam. Ask your provider if they are certified. 

Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educators (LCCE educators) aim to advance safe and healthy pregnancies, birth, and early parenting through evidence-based education and advocacy. The Lamaze method is more than just breathing. 

Self-Pay. Payment can be rendered in the form of cash, credit card, or PayPal . Payment is due at the time of services.

While I am not in-network with any insurers, I will provide you with a lactation visit receipt that you can submit to your insurance company. (I cannot guarantee reimbursement for your lactation visit, I do encourage you to file a reimbursement claim with your insurer)

No. You can be located anywhere and have access to me by HIPAA compliant video calls for both  childbirth classes and breastfeeding assistance. I look forward to hearing from you!
